SASA was founded in 2015 by security and education industry professionals and later established as a 501(c)(3) in 2025 by a group of community members passionate about school safety. From the beginning, our mission has been to support proactive schools that understand the importance of localized safety, accountability, and leadership in education. What started as a small initiative has grown into a trusted organization serving thousands of students and individuals each year through our comprehensive accreditation services. Join us in creating safer learning environments; start today! SASA is not a regulatory authority and does not make legal determinations. SASA assessments do not replace or supersede state or federal requirements. SASA does not guarantee safety, supervise daily operations, or provide security services. Final responsibility for compliance remains with the local education agency.
